This page explains how players unlock access to each major region in the Pokémon MMO. Progression is primarily tied to Gym Badge milestones, with a few exceptions.

Region Details
Kanto
- Unlocks after earning 2 Gym Badges.
- Players can sail to other regions in Vermilion City's Boat Terminal.
- Serves as a core progression region with traditional Gym challenges.
Johto
- Unlocks after earning 4 Gym Badges.
- Players can sail to other regions in Olivine City's Ship Pier.
- Designed as a mid-game expansion with tougher trainers and Gyms.
Orange Islands
- Available immediately for players who did not choose the Orange Islands as their starting region.
- Players can fly to other regions in Valencia Island's Airport.
- Offers an alternate progression path and unique challenges.
Hoenn
- Unlocks after earning 2 Gym Badges.
- Players arrive at Valencia Airport.
- Intended as an early branching region with fast access to diverse content.
Notes
- Gym Badge requirements are checked automatically.
- Unlocks are permanent once achieved.
- Some story events or NPC dialogue may reference your unlocked regions.
